  • Myoton is a helpful device for muscle diagnostics

Posted on August 30th, 2016 Mr. Leo Siemann No comments

MyotonPRO Digital Palpation from Aleko Peipsi on Vimeo.

MyotonPRO Digital Palpation Device is a unique, reliable and accurate instrument for objective and non-invasive measurements of superficial skeletal muscles. Moreover it enables to measure not only muscles but also tendons, ligaments, even skin and other soft biological tissues. Therefore Myoton may become a Gold Standard in soft tissue assessment as an everyday diagnostic and monitoring tool in medical practice. The application of Myoton technology provides invaluable information on the condition of muscles in several fields of medicine and sports. Therefore the Myoton opens a whole new field for better understanding  how the Tone, Stiffness or Elasticity are related to muscle health and physical condition. This new set of information allows objectively to assess the  efficacy of different interventions, sports exercise, symmetry, injuries or aging. Potentially it could help to detect muscle disease at an early stage, so that a more effective medical treatment can be provided.

    * The very first Myoton was invented by Dr. Arved Vain at University of Tartu in 1976. The latest version of MyotonPRO is a complex work by Myoton AS team, lead by CEO Aleko Peipsi.

  • The 1st Tartu Mini Maker Faire was a Hit !

Posted on September 29th, 2014 Mr. Leo Siemann No comments

Who could of thought that instead of 50 makers we have 150 in the house! That’s what happened in Tartu last Friday, where all sorts of tech enthusiasts , design gurus & arty people gathered for the first  Mini Maker Faire  at Ahhaa Science Centre to show what they have got ! It was a bit lauzy start at 10am but full beam by 12 noon with the mainstream media and tabloids making their interviews & stories. As part of the team I also prepared for this since last spring asking many inventors to join the faire and so they did :)

Tartu Maker Faire 2014 on full beam …

After opening words by Andres Juur  Ahhaa project manager the show was on with workshops and intros at the main stage. We had many new inventors & makers on the board but also well known ones like Fits.me and Timber Diameter + we had guest makers from Latvia, Sweden, Russia and even from USA. The latvian inventor Rims Vaitkus had brought his Wave Machine to the show and Rudolfs Drevinskis made incredible bird nests from the birchtree logs. Then we had our very own taylormade bike-masters :  Riho Leppik with his RixBikes , Raino Sinisalu & his unique Raybike and also hobby-inventor Allan Rosenberg with his electric  Chop-e  which got the eye of many visitors by its groovy design. Then we had the old master Gabriel Passov playing his Chord Viola at the stage with his band KAGB and Dr. Arved Vain checking out the muscles with his clever Myoton. There was also Kalev Essenson showing off his boat Cumulus , Aavo Murutalu taking photos with his 3D photoshop,  and Tartu Da Vinci Hando Kruuv introducing his brand-new Pendulum in Vacuum Chamber for the first time in publicFrom the arty ones got my eye Grafodroom girls & Ott Pilipenko, who had combined Skating board with the T-shirt printing facility …

It surely was a superb place for all ages to discover the latest inventions & designs by  inventors , craftsman, robot-makers, engineers, science clubs and other free thinkers, who had come to show & sell their works. We had even Science Theatre at the place introducing the laws & tricks of physics. The peoples favourite maker or the winner of 2014 Tartu MMF was the game called “Kolm Elu”.  News story was made by the Postimees and photos were taken by Äripäev. TV interviews were collected by ERR  and by the brandnew channel 8  “Leiundusuudised”

Tartu Mini Maker Faire as part of the Estonian Researchers’ Night Festival  gathered the makers from the Baltic States for the first time around. By the looks of it we might need a bit bigger house next year  ;)

  • History has been Made

Professor & inventor Mart Min told us about his works

The first ever Estonian Inventors Conference was held at Mektory, Tallinn University of Technology campus on Friday the 13th December 2013. Now this is a  serious stuff as within 20 years of freedom no such conference has been made! Let me ask Why? I guess reasons are obvious: Post-communist back does not encourage people to invent or to be creative individually but tells them to get a good job and obey the system instead. So this is not yet as trendy to be inventor or entrepreneur over here. The other reason is fact that the Estonian Inventors Association  which is connecting independent inventors, has been performing low core and there are no funds in place to support such kind activity. It is almost expected that if you are serious inventor you must invent the money making machine first and then all other things on the top of that ! Apparently this is not the practice of the most innovative countries in the World today. All of them have made some serious investments to their public sector first, like Japan, Switzerland or Sweden who has the oldest inventors association in the World today …

  • Swedish Inventors Association celebrates 125 years !

Posted on September 26th, 2011 Mr. Leo Siemann No comments

Our good friends in Sweden have come a long long way. Swedish Inventors Association was founded by famous inventor and balloonist Salomon August Andrée in 1886. That makes it the oldest its kind in the whole World ! As this is a special time for our friends , the event is going to be grand as well !

Inventors from all around are expected to participate at the Innovation Fair in Stockholm from 4-7th October. And so is Estonian Inventors Association , who is going to present MYOTON at this time. This novel and non-invasive muscle diagnostic technology has been originally invented by Dr. Arved Vain from the University of Tartu.  Dr. Vain also served as a Chairman of the Council and main developer of Myoton earlier versions. The latest patent filing for “Myoton Pro” includes 5 men team from which Mr. Aleko Peipsi , the CEO of  Myoton AS has the leading role.  We believe Myoton has got what it takes to be one of the inventions for the future.

The Show has been organised by Swedish Inventors Association and by IFIA – International Federation of  Inventors Associations. It is expected to be a major international Innovation Fair.
